As the title states, the timing belt went out and took it to a body shop and was told that I needed to change it and then I was told that because the timing belt went out, there might be some issues with my engine.

Is it possible for me to:

A) Just fix the timing belt and hope everything's o.k

or

B) Get a new engine.

ps: i really need some help here

 

The biggest problem you have it taking it to a body shop to get the engine diagnosed. And yes, there is a good chance at the very least the cylinder heads need replaced.
