Engine Swap

Hey guys I have recently been going through the engine swap process.

The Details
-Chassis is a 1986 (maybe early 87 production date is 6/86) N/A automatic.
-Engine is a 1985 VG30ET (It came out of a donor car I still have).
-Transmission- Manual Borg Warner
-Plan was to swap the engine and trans into the 86 chassis. I was successful in getting the engine and trans, but not able to start it or get any kind of life out of the car I swapped ecms and connected all vacuum lines.

Before the engine was put in the car would prime and the lights would come on, but now there is nothing.

Any help is great, thanks.

So by "no life" do you mean no electrical power? Have you checked the main battery wiring and fusible links?

Just trying to figure out what your question / problem is.

Sorry, yeah I meant no electrical power, when I looked at the fusible links earlier they were fine, but I'll double check and then triple check lol n I haven't looked over the battery main harness, at least not very well. Anything else that could be going on?

If there's no power anywhere, start at the battery and work your way forward.

I got power now and it started after we fixed up the harness leading to the inhibitor switch, but no there is a loud squeal coming from the engine bay while it was running. We were just testing to see how it would run and 5 minutes in after my friend popped the throttle a loud squeal started, we turned off the engine and checked the belts n stuff, but found nothing. So, we started it up a few more times to see if we could pin point it to hear it but we weren't to successful. please help

How are we supposed to know where a squeal is coming from over the internet? It's belts or a bearing somewhere. Take off the belts one at a time to see.
