Best suspension parts to buy ?
#3
Yeah, I'm with rogerz on that. Everything that either moves with the wheel or keeps it in line is part of your suspension system. Shocks are only part of that. Your '86 had an original suspension and steering performance that would knock your socks off today - perfect balance and perfect straight-line tracking on any road condition at any speed.
All those parts are worn down or out on your Z - no doubt about it. The closer you can get it back to that original condition, the better. It will blow your mind when you finally have it right. It's what your Z was born with.
When you think all your components are installed right and ready to perform, use a serious pro tire shop to check/adjust your alignment, front and rear. You may find more work needed. Getting it perfect is really worth the time and bucks tho. Magic on the road!
