Question about rear suspension?
Hi,
I am new to the site and just purchased an 86 300zx non-turbo. This is my first import and was wondering my rear tire's toe-out at the bottom where the tire meets the road. What can I do to eliminate this problem before I put new rims and tire on the vehicle? Also do the make a kit to keep this problem from returning? The vehicle's suspension is stock and unmolested. I am use to full / tubed axle so this is new to me. Thank you for the time and advise.

Hey welcome to the site. but I think u may have accidentally posted ur question on the wrong page. Ur car is a Z31, this section of the site is for Z32s. But to answer you question anyway, you can try to find some rear adjustable tie rods. I dont think Stillen makes any for ur car. But u could look there. Sry, i know i m not being much help. Good luck though. Try the Z31 page..you'll get better help there.

In response to your question, the Z31 was designed with a negative camber in the rear wheels. In other words, the rear wheels essentially swing outward from the bottom. With age, that is -- worn coil springs and possibly worn shocks -- the negative camber worsens. The result is that you will wear out your rear tires prematurely. Trust us -- many on this site can attest to it. Do a web search for a rear camber adjustment kit. You should be able to find one although they are outrageously priced for the simplicity of the part! Check out z31.com for more info., and I also think that azbum.com has instructions for doing your own camber adjustment. Hope this helps, and good luck.
