My windshield wipers work when it's dry and in a light rain, but in a heavy rain my windshield wipers stop altogether and sometimes the digital dash will go dark.

Will solder joint problems in the power supply cause windshield wipers to stop working? Is there a common leak place I can plug up since this only seems to happen in a heavy rain?

sounds like you are getting water in somewhere killing the power to the wiper motor
