I am new and have a few questions

Hello everyone, I own an 87 300zx non turbo 5 speed. When I first bought it, it was a piece of crap. The interior was spray painted, had no radio, seats were really ripped, the speedometer didn't work properly and had no clutch. The first thing I did to it was get a new clutch to get it moving, and in time I replaced most of the interior, dash, steering wheel, windshield etc. I decided to own it for a while now, and is there any place where I can get new seats that are power seats? Right now its at the shop because the tie rods broke off and luckily for me nothing happened.

i doubt you will find new seats for a z31. but you could search junk yards for a decent set and have them re-covered.

damn that sucks, I know this one guy who can restore it, like get rid of the old material and use new material, but he charges pretty high, for both seats maybe another 800 bucks. I was thinking if there were any other kind of seats that would be compatible and had the electric plug in.

Is it absolutely 100% necessary to have the stock electric seats? You could save a lot by going aftermarket, manual adjusting, or using similar electric seats from a different car.

I just want to keep the car original as possible, but it looks like it would be less likely for that to happen. I have done research and there isnt any other car similar enough to replace what I have. Also while I am at it I will change the carpet. The previous owner treated the Z31 like ****, of all the work i've done he/she didnt bother to get it professionally done instead of effing it up more like as if it wasnt a legendary car at all.

Well, if you bought 'new' seats from Nissan you'd probably be looking at $1000 each. did you know that? $800 to recover the two you have is not bad. You basically will have new seats. The shop will put new padding in too and you can get the seats done in any color you want.

Your car is legendary. Its a Legandry Beast!
New carpet and seats will transform that interrior. good luck with your project

You have been great help, thanks for the links, I have been waiting for support for a while and finally things are getting together. Since I live in the north, not many Z cars roam around here and I am known to have an old Z31.
