Dear Folks ,

I have to change the water pump for my 280ZX Turbo.
Now I would have two open questions refer to the change

1) The new pump came with 8 bolts ; four larger and 4 smaller ones
I dont know what for are the larger ones. Base on looking on the old pump the small ones are the connection between water pump and fan pulley. Again what for are the larger bolts ?

2. During disassembling the old water pump and alternator belt a part was falling down from the front side of the engine. I have not the slightest idea where this part was fixed and the usage and/or need of this part ; see picture . Can anybody pls help ?

This part is to hold the emission Canister hoses and it goes on top of the power steering pump.
Mine is missing from the picture but it will show you where to go that part will go behind the bolt that shows in the picture to hold the lose hoses....
