Tank top plug

Today, i saw that the top 4 wire Gas tank plug was not hooked up on my 83. This plug was not connected back when i was trying to get the injector's to fire. Would this effect the injecotor's?

fub those are for the filler guage

fuel gage sender shouldn't have anything to do with the injectors themselves.
