plug

i was looking under my hood today, and i noticed that there was a plug just hanging, not plugged into anything. Is that like a hookup for the dealer/mechanic to do tests or what?

Uhhhh no....Also, it would help to know where on the engine your seeing this 'plug' thats just hanging there if you want help figuring out what it goes to.

if you mean on the driver side right on top of the valve cover I have it too. I have no idea what its for either.

I have a vague recollection of it being for the automatic transmission, but I could be wrong. I have a manual, so it would make sense.
