I finally got around to installing those swaybar bushings audiofreak gave me awhile back. The front ones went on with next to no issue but the rear was a PAIN The holes on the swaybar wasn't even close to where the holes on the control arms are. and the passenger side mount was smashed up so I had to bend it back into proper shape.

Isn't that kind of a bad idea?

He's running coil overs... so he doesn't need it. I remember reading somewhere on either ZCar or HBZ that some people run their S30's without a rear sway bar.

Keep it unless you have coil overs.

it's really mainly only if you have stiff springs, going through a turn doesn't let the other tire droop enough and you lose some contact patch, making it hard to control the oversteer.

if you take out the rear bar it makes the car oversteer less (still some, but it's way easier to control). however, if your car understeers, I say definitely keep it.

(edit: early 240Z's didn't come from the factory with rear bars :O )

Well for my 2+2 I'm only getting suspension upgrades not coil overs so guess I'll be keeping them.

Anyways I'm finding rust in the hatch area under that tar stuff. I know its been discussed before but idk what to search for lol. So whats the best way to get it off? I'm leaning to the angle grinder with a wire wheel myself. bu I also have a 10lb brick of dry ice left over I need to use up.
BlueKitsune,

I have heard that dry ice can freeze the tar and stuff, but it always takes manual scraping/chiseling to get it off. Some people say freezing it makes it easier.

I actually tried that and it didn't seem to make a difference at all.
