pulling...

I have a '79 280ZX and have noticed a strange pulling feeling coming from the rear of my car when I accelerate lately. It's like an uneven tugging...I've actually stopped driving the car for now because this really worries me. Any ideas what it could be? Oh yeah, also sometimes my steering will just randomly pull one way or the other. I've noticed this problem for about a month. It will just jerk to the left or the right suddenly. I have manual steering by the way, if that helps at all. Any help on either of these issues is really appreciated.

for the rear....check over your tires too i had a HUGE ball sticking out of mine cuz it showed over a foot of wire and it just bullged out (too many burnouts) so it would "hop"
front like he said...fixed mine problem...

as for the pulling in the rear end...any more ideas as to what the problem could be? i recently put my left halfshaft back on after getting new u-joints...maybe the bolts are a little loose? other than that, i have no idea. any help would really be appreciated. (the tie rods would only account for the tugging in the front end/steering and not the weird hesitation-like pulling im getting from the rear end, right?)

How old are your struts? If you have worn out struts, the car gets really difficult to drive. Trust me on this one!!! I've been driving mine for almost three months now, on a daily basis, and I'm almost used to the sever (sp?) sag on take off and the wierd hopping around corners. The pulling may be that one of your srtuts is out of whack.

Also, you might want to have your alignment checked.

Yes, if one wheel is out of alignment then you will defiantly get pulling... possibly a brake cable stuck on one side. Your wheel will be warm after driving if a brake is stuck. Feel each one.
