Re: pulling out my clock?
I dont kow about on your 260 , but on my 280 there are four screws that hold on the heater control trim piece and center vents. take those out. then there are two brackets , one on each side , three screws each to take the brakets and the plastic vent thing out. then you get upside down and there should be a screw that holds a metal strap up the backside of the clock. remove it. then you should be able to pull the clock out with a little effort. hope this helps ya out. later

On the 260, You take the heater control panel out, you don't have to disconect the mechanical arms from the vents. Up under the dash where the clock mounts in there is one 10mm bolt might have a philips screwdriver slot in it to, the 10mm is easier. Undo that and the plugs in the back and remove.

Re: pulling out my clock?
you can move my clock, can i just tighten the screw tho fix it, also on a '71 240 how do you remove the heater panel, i can't remove it, something is holding it back. I've taken out the four screws, the map light comes out and you can move the panel a little, but not remove it or get enough space to get to the clock... how do I do it?
