Pros/Cons Of an electric water pump?

Has anyone every use one of theses pumps before?

http://www.thezstore.com/page/TZS/PROD/16-7025

I was thinking it would be nice to have something like that that ran at a constant speed at all times while having a thermoswitch controlled fan. And maybe even a cool off timer on it as well after I shut the car off.

I'm also worrying tho that they might not be to reliable Or something else along those lines. I was thinking of putting it into this new motor I'm thinking of building. and its not going to have a heater core.

Less engine bog down I would say... electrical tho... I'd keep your water pump around just in case O.o

lol Well I'm kinda designing a new motor sense I'm getting really bored wating on job apps and such. I figured less for the motor to turn the better. Maybe the Pros outweigh the cons on this one.

Since mine is a DD, I would have to stay with the belt drivin. The boging down part can be addressed else where on the motor by increasing it's response. Lighter flywheel, lighter insides. Leave it a 2.8, the bigger the slower to rev. Yes more power with bigger bore. But if your considering a elec pump, then response is already your goal. Stay with dependability, and just get the shiny pully MSA sells. This is my 2 cents

My buddy used a CSR electric water pump in his 94 stroker Corvette. Worked well for him, and the biggest plus is a constant high flow, not dependent on RPMs.

But... for the price, I'd rather buy a monster aluminum racing radiator for the Z.
