(possibly) New guy here

Well i'm looking at picking up an 83 5 speed turbo 280ZX 2+2 for my new daily driver. Is there anything i need to pay close attention to when i go take a look at it in a few days? the guy said he had daily driven it for 3-4 years so i'm pretty sure its going to be reliable. Also it looks pretty stock besides what looks like a super sweet PVC intake tube and aftermarket filter

thanks guys!

rust in the rear under carpet fairly common. spare tire wheel well rusted out. digi dash climate control usually busted by now. does it wander the road like a drunk when on wavy pavement then needs ball joints, tie rod ends and bushings. be sure all the lights and stuff works before you hand over the money so you don't have to post like the guy who bought one and then asked how to get the lights working after he got it home. fender under the battery box eaten out by acid. Battery cables severely corroded and/or those one size fitall clamp on connectors. slipping clutch. sticky tranny.

parking brakes are not a common problem on the s130 but they are on the z31. could just be an adjustment problem. Also pull the oil filler cap with the car idling. If it runs rougher that is good. If it stays the same means (probably) you have vacuum leaks to fix. again look at all things that operate electrically, wipers, interior lights, washer etc. they are usually time consuming to track down and repair.
