Possible injector issue
Possible injector issue
hey everybody, hope this hasnt been asked yet. I have a 1983 280zx turbo with 100k miles roughly. My grandfather bought it in 83 and took very good care maintenance wise. about 7 years ago it started sputtering. I have to feather the gas pedal to keep it running and if i hammer down it will bog out. the other part to this problem is when it cuts off i have to either jump it or give it about 20 minutes then it might crank.
I thought that it might be the icm on the coil preventing it from cranking, therefore possibly causing misfires. so i replaced it and no dice. any help would be appreciated. if my progosis is wrong because of mechanical knowledge please feel free to correct me. always wanting to learn new stuff.

Let's begin at the basics.
An engine needs 3 things to start:
-Proper air
-Proper fuel
-Proper spark
So when it won't start, does it have fuel? Does it have spark at all cylinders?
