Not a 280ZX but a lot of parts are similar. It already has a ZX tranny and diff and if it doesn't already have the 280ZX struts it will soon

I drove a 79 4dr Corolla when I turned 16... my neighbor gave it to me for free. Man I wish I still had that thing.

 

Trying not to plan but it's awefully hard to resist dropping either a KA24 although I can get a VG30ET for next to nothing. I may also have an CA18ET available as well.

Interior for sure and it's going to need some electrical lovin. I'm just trying to resist playing with it until I get my MS3 setup harness done. I for sure have to get Yasin's harness done first. I'm hoping the chaos at work will be done in the next couple of weeks then I can get some projects wrapped up.

Its nice that the S130 stuff swaps across - it already had the 5sp and diff. I'll probably do the 280ZX brake setup as well. This thing is light - I think it's even lighter than my 240Z!

Saw one with a modified VG30E at a meet a few years ago. Sick is an understatement.

 

therte is one local to me with the vg30 turbo. they put an intercooler in the hood to have room. yes they are very light, my 620 truck was 1800 lbs or something like that, was ridiculous, but they suck in crashes. if you want to see some cool stuff go to ratsun.net. lots of info on the swaps over there and more ideas. very dangerous.

 

Lol yes I'm resisting but there is a 300ZX with an NA and a spare turbo motor and a turbo LSD in it. I was going to buy it just for the diff now it's like I've got an excuse to put the VG30 in there as well. It's not a simple swap though there are issues with the intake manifold, etc. There is a guy local to me who has done it already. I'm hoping to see him at our club's Japanese car show this weekend

Lol no VG30E or VG30ET Although a friend of mine had a VG30DE - INSANE!

There was a 550ish HP 510 V30ET wagon down in Canby this year... completely unusable power lol
