Ooops!!!!
so i was pulling off the stock injectors to replace them with 480cc injectors and i noticed #2 injector was missing part of the brown tip, it cracked off, i looked in the hole and there it is, even with my precision and advanced technique i couldn't grab it, and it slipped into the intake manifold, my question is, do i have to rip off the intake manifold to retrieve this piece, or will it simply melt down and shoot out the exhaust? please help as i've started to remove the intake and i'm running into too much **** and would like not to drill out any more broken rusted bolts. thanks in advance.

Welcome to ZDriver!
Have you tried removing the spark plug & vacuuming it out that hole? Or you could blow compressed air into the injector port & hopefully force it out the spark plug hole.
Also... what ecu are you using to run the 480cc injectors? I hope you're not going to try to run them w/ the stock one......

ok seriously, should i try to get it out? cause i snapped a bolt holding on the heat shield that im guessing covers the intake manifold bolts, and now i'm just lost, anyone have a good write up on how to remove the intake manifold on the 83 turbo's?

thats one of those things you dont need to ever make a write up for
if you cant figure it out by poping the hood and looking at it for a little bit, crack open your FSM (or equivalent) and look it up.
all L6 Z's intake and exhaust manifolds go on/off in the same manner
(SU carb intakes use different bolt locations on the top but still the same to take off)
