Theres holes in the HEAD that are not in the BLOCK. meh. I just put it together anyways.

Idk why I didnt notice this till now... theres a deep score in the #3 cylinder all the way up and down and about 1mm deep... Well looks like I might not have my Z back till after winter

This difference in cooling passages and headgaskets is something that has been discussed on Hybridz, basically it came out that you buy the headgasket based on the block not the head.

Lets see.... timing the valve train. I put the silver part on the dot of crank gear with the keyway pointing up then I put the other silver mark on the timing chain on the #1 dot of the top gear.

Right?

Right. and make sure the pin of the cam is in hole 1 also

Awesome, simple enough! Well I just have to take off my driveshaft and transmission then pull my old engine out and drop the new engine in. I think I might be lazy and reuse my clutch and stuff sense their still good. Once I get an engine that will last THEN I'll change out parts.

Side note, I took my shifter out and found that the plastic bushings where gone! I thought the slop was just part of having an old Z car @.@ Go fig Here comes some brass ones!
