Got ahold of Rod. He'll be here Sunday morning.

Did ok at the Garage sale. Bleach got the rear valence to finish off his body kit and some miscellaneous black interior parts for like $20. Apollo and Darrel both got air dams for $10 and I got a slightly dented NOS OEM hood for my 240z for $50!

Checked out some Z's and started looking for someone to drive my hood back to the bay area... Maybe I shoulda thought about that before buying it...

We watched a Chinese action/drama complete with sub-titles at Apollo's friend's house. Bleach and Apollo took a little afternoon nappy. You know how children need their sleep or they're cranky the rest of the day...

Went out to Long Beach for dinner and drinks. Hooked up with some of Apollo's "old" high-school chums for a couple hours and are calling it a day.

 

wow now thats a good score on the hood... just stap it to the top of yours. ha ha that would be quite a sight.

 

Just do like some of my "neighbors to the south" would do and cut a broom stick into four pieces to make legs and mount it as a big *** rear wing!!!!!!!

this was an awesome little vacation for me. good times!

It was really awesome getting to meet with L-Dub, Bleach, Frank280ZX, Lifegaurd-dude, Apollo, Chinese Kid... The guys were all awesome and a truly shining example of the Z community!

Wade... I really got a kick out of hanging out with ya for the short time we were able. I'll try and make it up to one of your "Hooters" meets in the very near Future.

Bleach was on hand providing his wealth of technical knowledge to a fellow ZDriver in need and was really as cool in person as I thought he would be.

Well, gotta go count some tires and parts now. I'll upload and post pics when I finally make it home.

It was great to put the screen names to faces. I had a great time today and yeah everyone from this site that I met was cool. I look like a crispy critter now due to the sun, but it was worth it. Shady, I'm working on the pics as I type this, I'll post them up soon.

 

the show was nice.. got alot of nice cars there... good to meet a few of you there.. i'll post up some of the pics i have when im down uploading

That bowling score shown was just a warm up game. Plus the we were scoring golf style. The lower the better. . . .

But yea, I had a lot of fun this MSA and was able to meet a few members of the Zdriver community. Learned a lot too. For one, lww is old school hard-core. Thats right folks. Hes got a hard-core past. And too prove it . . . A BULLET IN HIS LEG. STILL. Musta been from nineteen dikity two during WWII, Nam or something.

Bleach is awesome. A wealth of Z knowledge and a cool guy to boot. My socal friends and I had a good time taking Wade and Bleach around introducing. Hookah bars, crazy Tai restaurants that have like 250 menu items. He was even privileged enough to were the Apollo jacket on the Newport beach pier. Wade on the other hand preferred the T-shirt and sitting under the heat lamp method. I offered him a jacket but he insisted on being an O.G. hard-core Zdriver. Go wade. Wade is such a generous guy he even offered to use his American Express every time we ate out or needed something but we could never accept. What a guy . . ( you had to be there i guess)

Then Sunday came and I met Rod and company. It was worth the wait. Rod is an awesome guy and his friend with the idle problem his hilarious. I wish I could have stayed longer to hang out but I had to get the GF back up north. If you guys ever come up we''ll throw a meet for you.

Only people I didn't get a chance to see was Lifeguarddude and someone with a white Z32. All in all I have to say this trip was well worth the 200 bucks or so on gas and 6 hours drive each way. AND the odometer rolled over to 260k+ on this trip and she's still running strong!!! I look forward to next year . . .
