lol, yea, whatever works :P I wanted to get the manifold on and I didn't have any other material laying around that was thick enough, so I just made that up real quick. Haven't had any problems at all as of yet (doubt I will, since guys run wood spacers/insulators on their Holley carbs and stuff all the time).

I was actually quite surprised how much this helped the car, I don't have to work it nearly as hard to get up to speed now, and in 1st it just goes straight to 5500rpm, and past, if I would let it. And 3rd gear actually has some life in it now, instead of completely running out of steam, which is nice when I'm trying to keep the rpm's low around cops and stuff :P

lmao do you guys really think that using wood is THAT bad of an idea? Trust me, if I thought there would be anything that would be bad about doing that, I wouldn't have done it. It does not leak, it does not get very hot, it does not get sucked in (don't even know how that would work) it does not do anything besides space the throttle body out far enough so that I can use the stock linkage.

I sanded it down, but not the best, I wasn't too worried about the way it looked... I used regular primer then two HEAVY coats of filler primer, and then 3 more HEAVY coats of black paint on it to make sure that it didn't totally look like wood lmao

Well, since it works so good for you, I think I'm going to build me a wooden motor to put in my Z. I heard wood is fire resistant these days due to Global Warming.

You tryin to sound cool? because you don't... I use wood for one insignificant part that could be made out of anything else, and you guys jump on me for it... excuse me for saving $40 and not using a chunk of aluminum that would accomplish the SAME purpose, just as well as my piece.

They're somewhat rare, more just uncommon to see, I got that one for free from the junkyard, and I'm about to buy another one for $5 sometime this week :P

They are a bit rare. but still kinda easy to find. Also. you really should not have to rewire the TPS. i hooked mine right up the the SX TPS on there and left the longer 3 prong wire comin out the bottom there. runs great.

Does it matter if it's JDM? :P

Yes, but you didn't do a wire-tuck Anyways, I don't really see a point in running the TPS, doesn't do a freakin thing on my car, and I've got it wired the right way lol

If I ever find an elephant oil cap, I'll grind off the elephant just because.
