lol, the people in my neighborhood are pretty cool, they don't seem to care, but I don't like to push their patience, whenever I do runs like that, I do it in random sections of the area :P

lol what's worse is that's not one of the loudest pops it's made... If I downshift and let it, sometimes it sounds like a freakin gunshot lol

I'm going to try tomorrow, getting a new gasket (I'm hoping the reason it's leaking is because I reused the intake/exhaust manifold gasket, even though I sprayed it with copper spray stuff... *crosses fingers*)

I'm sure the neighbors didn't mind that much, but my neighbors probably went crazy when i cut my muffler off and had straight exhaust and did a donut in the culdesac in the middle of the day

lmao, just wait till you get a header on it (if you don't already) and run it open, especially only the 3-2 setup without merging them... it's so loud it's not even funny lol

yea, sure, let's go with that lol, I just think of it because it's the 3 pipes going into their own collector... lol

OH! and great news, I've gotten most of the exhaust leaks fixed when I took the header basically back out, and changed the flange gasket, and welded up all the holes that the stupid exhaust shop left open in the pipes when they welded it up <_< So now it doesn't pop nearly as badly, and I can make it pop if I want to, or not make it pop if I don't want it to :P

What you said would be 3-1 lol 6 pipes into 2 pipes 6-2

Anyways, nice job! I'd work on my exhaust more but I dont see the need yet

Depends on the config of the collector.

MSA 3-2 header: http://www.thezstore.com/page/TZS/PROD/15-6017CH

MSA 6-1 header: http://www.thezstore.com/page/TZS/PROD/15-6012CH

Technically, 3-2 is still wrong lol it's not 3 pipes merging into 2 collectors, it's 6 pipes merging into 2 collectors

You'd have had fun with my old 70 pu. It had the old deceleration control device setup on it and wasn't exactly right.(Obviously it was alright with me) With my exhaust dumping in front of the passenger rear wheel, wind it up tight and pull a hard shift it would dump enough air into the mix to sail about a 6' flame out the side, along with a pretty good pop too. At night it would light up a whole overpass.
Another fun little trick used to be shutting the ign off going down a hill. Just as you were going by the people waiting at the bus stop, turn it back on. They thought they'd been shot.

LOL I found this out the hard way today XD

And in other news, I got a Cressida AFM on my car today, total cost for about 34% more airflow (which is basically useless because I still have the stock throttle body ) was around $50, but I don't have an air filter on it yet, just a piece of mesh hoseclamped on the end of the AFM :P

I've seen air filters like that before, stops anything bigger than a 767. I wanna get a different afm for mine too, a 90mm one from a Ford Lightning...

I don't think that'll work, if they even have the flapper-door style AFM's like our cars, I think it'll be alot of rewiring, assuming it'll have the same resistance on the things... Unless you mean a throttlebody, then I doubt even that'll work... not to mention 90mm on a mostly stock ZX is way overkill, as 60mm is pretty much all our cars need for "any" performance to be had from it

They don't have the flapper style, that's one of the reasons I like them. It's not that big of deal, I think the one I have now is 80mm, and it's already wired up. No, I wasn't talking throttle body's, I think my current one is a twin 58~64mm, something like that. It isn't completely impossible I won't use 2 of those. Needless to say, it's gonna be sorta stock, but from many different companies... Of course, all this stuff is still in the barn...

if it's not the flapper style, then you can't use the factory ECU...

A 60mm throttle body dosent give you any performance gain at all, all it dose is give quicker throttle response. And for anyone that dose the larger TB set up please port the intake too, some people dont get that if you dont port it its still going threw a 50mm hole thus your TB dose nothing at all.

that's why I quoted "any" :P it feels like it has more power, but not really... I think if you've done other mods to the car, however, I think it'd help a tiny bit...

somewhat true, the intake itself is the choke point tho. for any real performance make a custom one (thats the diraction Iv taken) or port the **** out of the stock runners, runner diameter is a major bottle neck on the stock intake.
