Interesting idea on those welds... were you just welding tabs for kicks & giggles, or do you have some secret science behind them?

well, I welded the gussets for the sway bar mounts because I'm getting a 1 1/8" sway bar and I read somewhere that with a thicker sway bar, those tabs bend under load, so I figrued I'd overkill it just to say I did it lol

The other side, well, I did that just because it looked like it wanted to be welded lol

I'm picking up the powder for them tomorrow finally!

bought these today:
Eagle_15x10.jpg?t=1263937716
for $133.61 from the junkyard

probably just going to sell them to a friend since they really aren't the look that I'm going for with my car

Sorry to hear about your fender mishap :-/ Im really looking forward to seeing your build through. I really need to tear down my suspension and clean everything up, yours looks great. I have S13 hubs/spindles/brakes, I just need to pick up some S13 coils :-D

What wheels are you going with?

to be honest, I don't think I'd go with the S13 crap, moves the wheels out too far and you'll amost certainly have to run a staggared set of wheels (you may like, but I don't)

and I guess I could post these here as well lol

the last two are probably closer to my final ride-height

and these are with a 1/4" spacer (I think I'll order my wheels with this offset, just to one up my friend now :P ):

15x10 -44---205/60-15

I sold these already, because I want 14x10's, with a more baller offset lol
and the brand will be secret on this forum until I get them :P

Is this welded at all or is it just sitting on that little spacer ring?

Are those the Eagle Alloy 15" wheels? Anyway if so, they were the same wheels. That were stolen out of my yard a while ago. Burns me still, when I think about it. They had center caps, that were held on by a big phillips screw. They were pretty nice shape. I only have one left. Which I can't figure out, why they took three. And left the one behind. Stupid idiots!

All aside, good work. Making progress, I am a long ways at the moment. Nice to see somebody getting somewhere with their Z.

Lol, use stock brakes until they fail and send you into the guard rail at 120mph at 3am, right? That was a fun 4 hour hike that morning.

lol no, I think I only went over 120 once, and that was on a straight stretch of highway in the middle of the day, nor am I ever driving at 3am :P

I am going to get braided lines and rebuild the calipers though, one's leaking as it is anyways so I kinda have to lol

This car is so ghetto fabulous. I love it! Stick on wheels weights...... on the lip. Makes me smile.

You need to keep those wheels and paint them with a clearcoat mixed with rainbow metallic.
