Hi everyone, quick question so been having problems with car staying running when it gets warm thought I'd try new icm, so I have 83 non turbo I u did the two screws, first question how do you disconnect the wires that go into distributor, on box or inside distributor? Second question on the back of the old box it's covered in I assume electric white grease. Is this necessary? Sorry first time working on this car. Thanks and hello to all
The red and green wires have spade connectors on them and the wires will just pull off. The re-positioning of the wires needs to be correct so pay attention as to where the red is and where the green is. If you still have the rubber boot that goes between the ICM and the distributor it has "red" and "green" printed on where the wires go.
