Angry Ignition Coil

Ok, my Ignition Coils keep frying on me. I have bought a new Distributor Transistor Unit and that fixed the problem. After I installed it, i started it and let it idle for a while, and out of nowhere, it died. I checked the Ignition Coil and sure enough it was fried. What keeps ruining my Ignition Coils or what is making the Distributor Transistor Unit ruin the Ignition Coils?

How do you know your coil is "fried"? What tests did you do?

I checked the voltage and I was getting 12 volts to both the Possitive and Negative sides of the Ignition Coil

Are you talking about the resistor on the right side of the Distributor Transistor Unit?
