Ignition/Coil upgrade

Alright I've been searching around and it's hard to find any advice about what to go for. I've been planning to upgrade the ignition/coil on my Turbo car to an MSD, but I'm not sure what to go for. I found Shady was using a 6a. I know Nismopick has one with a rev-limiter and I was thinking of going that route. So does anyone have suggestions on coil/ignitions to go for as an upgrade?

I have a Mallory 6-AL (same thing as MSD's 6-AL... L=rev limiter). I love it. Works great. You'll also need an MSD tach converter if you still want the stock tach to work.

I got my Mallory & MSD Blaster II coil for about $150 on ebay, and the tach converter for $20.

Alright I wanted to make sure of something. I went ahead and got a Mallory 6AL since it was a good bit cheaper than the MSD 6AL. Anyway I'm about to buy a blaster coil as well, but I wanted to make sure of this. It mentions that some use a ballast resistor and it's needed with a stock ignition or mallory unilite, I'm pretty sure I don't need the ballast with the Mallory 6AL Hyfire, right? Also is there anything else you recommend as far as upgrading the ignition goes? Oh and one more thing, I noticed these ignitions mention improved gas mileage because of more efficient spark, if that's true that'll be a nice bonus.

I can't remember much about the wiring at the moment... I know there were some resistors, but they were already inline on the Mallory harness.

Improved gas mileage.... eh, I'm always full throttle so I dunno. My Z did get about 22mpg on the trip to LA.

Well that'd be better than my 18.5mpg I'm getting right now. Although I'm running advanced timing, and my auto tranny leaves me sitting at over 3500 at about 70mph. Anyway it sounds like this is a decent improvement, as most Zdrivers seem to be happy with it. Thanks for the help!

I figured I'd add this on too, since I'm upgrading my ignition, coil, and getting ready to do the Z31 ECU swap I thought I'd also see if you guys have any recommendations on spark plug wires or anything. I'm currently using Bosch premium wires or something of that sort. I was wondering are there any brands or types of wire, cap, rotor, or anything else you guys recommend? I'm using NGK plugs as is.

Also is this the tach converter you're talking about? http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/MSD-8...QQcmdZViewItem
I can't seem to find this on any site, and MSD's site doesn't have it listed.
