I suck as a mechanic
Alright so I'm new here, but not new to being a mechanic.
I have a heavily modded truck but this is my first car, and first import.
I have a 1983 280x non turbo.
It's not getting spark.
I've replaced the following
-plugs
-wires
-coil
-rotor
-cap
-ICM
So I'm stumped. Next I plan on doing the AFM breakdown/cleaning. And I also figure I should pop open the ECU and check for burnt resistors. But basically all my masculinity and pride has been lost.
Anything else I should check for??

probably be good to find out if your coil is good. Oil has nothing to do with sparks. if it is running good i wouldn't mess with the AFM. Many who tried have found nothing but a rocky road ahead.

there is continuity on all fusible links
also followed all the steps listed in the FSM for ignition system
it seems I've pinpointed it to being a faulty pickup coil in the distributor.
is this a common piece to go bad? And would this cause a "no spark" condition?
