after setting all night, temps hit the low 30, I smell gas coming from under the hood.
this morning was the first time I have noticed it.

open the hood, I dont see anything that looks wet, and there is no wet spot under the car.

The smell does not get in the cabin, just outside.

any idea?

 

I'd say it's probably a fuel leak... or someone poured gas on your car.

The fuel lines in the engine bay are all visible & easily accessable. Check em out... and your injectors.

 

Didja look at the mower over in the corner, by the 18' ladder and the MIL's Christmas decorations?

 

I had a fuel leak but it was intermitant which was weird because when it leaked it really leaked. Turned out the clamps on the injector hoses were loose - most of them. Cinched them up and no more problems.

 

does it go away when you start the engine?
