Alright, I've got myself an autometer boost gauge, it's actually I think the same one thxone has. It seems to be pretty accurate as I was comparing the autometer gauge to my huge vacuum gauge while the car was idling. So I had 3 different vacuum gauges at once.

Anyway I was wondering what you guys have done as far as mounting your aftermarket gauges. I'm gonna get rid of the stock boost gauge and get the voltmeter in there, and I'm thinking I want to either mount the boost gauge to the A-pillar or right on left side of the dash next to the gauge cluster? Anyone have any good solutions, would the regular gauge pod be useful for that?

Oh and once in a while when I'm driving and say I let off the gas, I'll watch the gauge drop down to under 20 inHG stop, then move a little lower, then move back up as the car slows down? Does that seem about right? Or should the needle movement be more fluid?

I think I'm going to go with a universal a-pillar mount much like yourself. My main concern about the gauge was the fact that in some cases it seemed like the needle would hesitate for a moment, it might have more to do with the RPMs dropping? I mean does anyone else's gauge do anything where the needle will maybe drop, stop, drop a little more, than raise back up as the RPMs go down?

the mazda miada pod guages kit works fine, it fits like its meant for our cars, you can get a 1,2 or 3 pod i believe. some guy on hybridz did a nice writeup, just gotta search it. i think its even a sticky.

you could always gut the stock center gauge pod where the boost gauge is and put it there.

I got myself one of the GReddy universal a-pillar mounts, it's close, but it looks like it needs a little bit of modification. Nismopick, did you have to do much to get yours to fit? Or I'm thinking maybe I should just go and find myself a miata one.

I used a propane space heater to heat it up & mold it to fit the pillar. It worked pretty good. I've never tried the Miata one, so I don't know what is required to make that work, if anything.

That's not a bad idea I might do that, I was looking at pics of the miata one and it looks like the shape of it in general matches up really well.

i need to find a way to guage mount in the S30. plus its HIN if the 260 aint acting up, which its not today, maybe ill take it out there on lake shore. that would be sick.
