Dash Mounting Kit
I installed a Sony Xplode CD deck in my '86 and I wanted 2 buy a dash mounting kit so it looks good. However, the guy @ Best Buy said they didn't make one. Is this true? If so, does anyone have any ideas of ways to make it look good? Thanx

Re: Dash Mounting Kit
I'll have to check on that. They are all in Abilene Texas. But don't do the big chains. Check some of your local audio shops. They would know more then Circuit City and folks like that. Plus a lot of them can order them.
Try click here
The kit number is 99-7411. They have it listed for like $16. Looks to be the same as I installed in a friend's car. I have to warn you though. I had to cut on the face plate some to make the plate that came with the deck fit correctly.
Not the easiest of jobs without the right tools..

Did you talk to the car audio rep or the install rep at Best Buy. I work at Best Buy and I can check, but I have a customer made face. It looks nice, but next time your at Best Buy ask one of the install reps. Normally the car audio reps are pretty good, but again they are sales, not service.
