Need a ref pic? I can tell their different. EDIT: I just checked the head I have off my Z, its an N47 not a P79. Ok dished pistons and an N47 head... that seems REALLY low compression...

And duowing, it hydro-blew up lol It actually blew out chunks of the old head gasket. and the amount of water that came out of it when I turned it over with out plugs says everything really

Totally, there's a reason your air box is designed the way it is. Now, I actually cut holes in my airbox too, but I cut them in the BACK of the airbox, so it doesn't "funnel" the water into your engine like it would in the front...

Well I'm not gonna be driving in water that doesn't look deep but turns out to be a little bit deep, or if I have to, go REALLY slow. But I love driving in the rain. no clue why but its fun lol

Congrats C-Dawg on the very first one to call me "bluefox" XD

Blue - Good luck on the rebuild. Do you know if you have any bent rods? At least you have that spare block just in case you need some spare parts

i hope you didn't bend any rods... but i would drop the head off at a machine shop to get checked out, good possibility it got warped also possibly messed up some valve seals and get new head studs or bolts and a good gasket.

Am I the only one wondering why he has a head bolt torqued at 100 ft/lbs? They're only about 55ft/lbs if I remember correctly. So far nothing looks too bad, but like snw said drop the head off. How did you oil look?

Oil was still new and had very little water in it. And Im exaggerating about the headbolts but I have to use a breaker bar to get them undone. But I let my friend do the first one, and he had it on tighten with a 3 foot breaker bar. so ya

Just remember, when you hydrolock a motor...a very good chance of bending rods!
