Fuel problem? power loss @ 3500 only under load.

Ok. so i just got my car back and registered to me, so ive been driving it for three days now. day one was awesome, put 50 miles on it ran strong everything was fine. lots of fun. day two im up to around 110 mi since ive owned the car. free way on ramp hit third gear 3500 rpm car starts to bog down, loses power. so i let off the throttle and it melows out, maintains speed and power. i rev again and it bogs. about 1/2 pedal it starts to bog down.

I just pulled the fuel filter and the inlet gas that came out looks clean enough, its not sludgy or anything.

before i had it completly running it would bog down whenever any throttle was applied, turn out to be the fuel pump, thats been replaced. but now this new issue is stumping me. not sure, ive replaced the vaccume lines, fuel pump, fuel filter looks new (its all shiny) gastank was refurbed fuel lines are new, (not the metal ones, just the braided rubber ones). the rail could prolly be replaced but i dont have the funds for that. oh and my ties are 12 years old. it sat in a driveway for a long time.

Check:
Fuel pressure
AFM, connection, and boots
CHTS and connection
TPS and connection
ECU connections
All grounds
Cap & rotor
Spark plugs (check the gap & check to make sure all 6 tips look the same)
Spark plug wires
etc etc etc... all the normal things...

yeah, all thoes are (should be good) injectors just got cleaned, new distributor, cap, rotor everything, plugs are new, wires are new, tps should be good, ive rebuild the AFM using the guide on this site. i dont have an inline pressure tester (need to get one) so i can only mesure pressure with power to the pump, and that checked out ok. CHTS is new, O2 is new, havnt chcked the ECU yet figured it wouldnt have anything to do with this, but i'll check them now.

here is something else. once it starts acting up, if i turn the car off then back on it will alleviate the problem for a bit. then it starts up again. Could there be something blocking the pump feed that just builds up over time, then when i turn the car off the blockage goes away from no pressure? then takes time to build up again? odd im pretty stumped here.

Well there should be screen right infront of the pump, it may be partly clogged.

When you get above 3500 does the engine keep revving up but the wheels don't spin faster?

no, loses power, bogs down. i can turn the car off and its ok for a lil bit again then starts acting up, i think there is some sediment in the lines and it just builds up, then when i turn off the car the fuel pump loses power to the PSI goes down allowing the sediment to fall away and stop blocking the line. /shrug just a guess. im pulling the pump today to check if its clogged.

Well, mine never did that, but with those symptoms, I'd be making DAMN sure that all connections between the battery positive and the efi relay were good. This includes 2 of the fusible links. If a poor connection existed in there you could be losing power at high load to injectors and ecu. Then you shut it off, it cools and works for awhile, until you try to get a load through it again. Don't know if yours uses a mechanical advance in the distributor or not, but if it does, having a glance or feel of the action might not hurt either.
