fuel pressure regulator

Is there a way to check to see if its working correctly before i put it all back together? I tried searching the previous posts but couldn't find anything that specific.

There's a section in the Haynes manual about it...

The Chilton's is the worst and contains MANY inaccuracies.

Go here to get a Factory Service Manual:

If you can't go that route, find a Haynes. The Haynes and the FSM are very complimentary and should go together whenever possible.

Sorry to threadjack, but I noticed when my car is turned to ON, but not running, like when the fuel pump is priming. I can hear a hiss coming from the pressure regulator area. Would this indicate a leak? Or is this normal?

Have you checked the fuel pressure? Does it leak down?

I haven't checked the fuel pressure in a while. I'll have to check it, the last time I checked it everything was fine. It doesn't smell gassy around it, and I haven't noticed fuel or wetness.
