Congrats on the drive... but the BMW driver must have been asleep, because the 335i is a 300hp inline six twin turbo...

I had mine around the 110 mark. I took the 120 gauge cluster from the 79. . . Think the kiddy got scared at the 80 mark lol. Huge upgrade with the rack steering. A must for any z owner. Road we were on the 79 with drag link would of been squealing the front tires and slideing at the speed I was going. Posted this more for the fact once I bolted the drive shaft in I flew out the garage with no gas in the car and was wondering what I fogot to hook up. Tottal dumbass moment lol

I also own a 2008 wrx impreza. . . . . Not the sti still. Had a friend drive my suby vs my datsun with the suspension upgrades and clutch it makes the suby look silly. Not bad for a blown up 600.00 z **** on civics. Say a 04 vtech 5000.00 upgraded suspension + 1500. . Clutch and Fly wheel + 800. Raceing exhaust + 1000? Lmao really suprised there is so much demand for a honda compaired to an extreamly cheap z what's the going rate for a stock low mile trailor queen? 5 - 7500. ? Lol loveing it.

I know what you mean, I have a coworker who keeps trying to get me to get rid of my Z (to sell for a 94' Civic Hatch? Much like his own), to which I tell him to keep to his Honda and let me and the rest of the big boys work.

He's under the impression that an out of the box 94 civic has more power than my turbo Z (which has been apart for two+ years lol, I still have more power in pieces).

He also hasn't listened to my input on NOS vs. Water/Meth, letting him know that sure, NOS can be a surefire way to get more power quickly, but it will also pretty much blow your motor up (He wants a 100 shot I believe.. motor is all stock).

All of these kids are the same. Thankfully he only works Wednesdays, Fridays and Saturdays

You think the NA is impressive wait till you try a turbo ZX (which was actually one of the fastest production cars of it's time btw).

You should have seen my friend's face in his 2006 G35 coupe when I stepped on it on turning on the highway and he did the same. I didn't pull on him but I stayed out in front until we got up to the speed limit then I backed off. That was in my turbo with just a CAI and crush bent exhaust stock downpipe. He's in trouble now that I've got the MegaSquirt in and I'll be doing the downpipe, intercooler and turning up the boost and that just for starters

According to Wikipedia...

The 1982 Datsun 280ZX NA boasted a 0-60 MPH time of 9.1 seconds. That's 0.1 faster than the Corvette of the same year which had a 9.2 second 0-60 MPH time. The 280ZX Turbo manual had a 0-60 MPH of 7.4 second while the automatic managed to turn out 7.1 seconds. That compares to the Aston Martin Volante with a 0-60 MPH of 8.9 seconds and almost seven times the cost and the Ferrari 308GTSi with a 0-60 MPH of 7.9 seconds. The only cars in 1982 to beat the Turbo ZX was the Porsche 911SC and the BMW M1 which were considered by most to be exotic cars. This info can be referenced in the R&T Guide to Sports & GT Cars 1982.
