Figured out starting issue, maybe?
okay so tonight my Z fired up.....it is about 20 degrees warmer though. Checked my cold start valve cleaned it up and started the car. Problem is my car is acting lean when i press on the gas until it is warmed up. I hear the fuel pump as usual, but when it is now at operating temperature and idling and 1000rpm...the fuel pump makes a whirring/whining sound.....could this be the issue to my cold start problem....do fuel pumps start going out and not want to start in cold weather?
It is located on the passenger side of the head. Check the connector and contacts. Also if you want, you can check the voltage. I don't know what it is though. Mine have always worked.
Check spark, fuel and air...
although when i changed the fuel filter....it didn't shoot out, it kinda just ran out by gravity. i expected some pressure. i am trying to located that cylinder head temp sensor, but i can't find it online.
Use this link to Download the work manuals..plus its a good reference site for the 280Zx
