79 280 ZX only starting gives an issue
After the z warms up it is fine. I have to feather the gas to get it to start for about 3 mins and hope it doesn't die to start the feathering all over again. I just swapped the motor and the old one didn't do this. Seems like the fuel light wants to bounce off and on when I am trying to start. Any help appreciated.

Wish I knew more about the S130 but if you had a Z31, I would suggest you check out the air regulator for the 2 solenoids which control your idle speeds, cold and fast. Let our S130 guys give you their input. Sounds like a common issue and probably has an easy solution.
If you don't already have your freebie factory service manual and the other cool docs available at XenonS130 - S130 Reference download them and check them out. Your FSM has a lot of easy to follow inspection and troubleshooting pages that may be of some help while you are waiting for other suggestions.
