Even more issues

Well i changed out the connectors for the temp thingies on the front of the engine. I went to try to start the beast and guess what NOTHING happened. I checked all of the connections and made sure my battery was charged. I disconnected the starter and when I turn the key it makes noises. Once I re-connect it I turn the key again and nothing happens. Its acting like the battery is dead...

My guess is the alt is bad now...

Am I close?

The alternator should not keep the car from starting or running, if the battery is charged a car will still run, that is one of the things the reserve capacity on the battery is for...with no alt the car should drive for 10-20 minutes on just the battery, after that you are screwed unless you limped the car to an auto parts store. I would look elsewhere for the culprit. Edit: like the solenoid on the starter itself, could be fried.

If you're not getting any power (like the lights / accessories won't turn on) check your battery voltage... and terminal connectors.

well i think i might have found out my running rich issue I hope... I got a new fuel pressure regulator and tryed to install it. I found out I need to get new fuel line hoses the ones i had would not come off so I had to cut it.. lol I hope this fixes the issue.

On a side note I'm selling my psp so i can get either a;

1. megasquirt

or

2. a pallnet fuel rail and a better exhaust...

opinions???

Can't you use megasquirt and tune your fuel delivery to get rid of your running rich problem? I dont know that much about Megaquirt but I beleive you can tune it.
