Electrical problems

I have a melted wire in my fusible link box. Does anyone know what may cause this to happen or where to find a new box to replace it?

A short, or overload. You can find a box @ the junk yard, or the easier / better solution would be to install your own fuses (large subwoofer amp fuse inserts work great):

it could be just a faulty fuse that SHould have blown, but didnt, these fusible links are more prone to do this(xpecially when 25+ yrs old) than newer fuses. but a melted wire usually means a short to ground. i would follow the wire as far as possible to find the short and prevent future problems. as for where to find a new block, i am not sure.. ill look a little for you..
