a dumb sway bar question

alright theres a guy locally that has some sway bars for sale for $75, 1" front and 7/8" rear MSA bars. no end links or any thing it appears just to be the bars and they seem to be in good shape. only thing is it says MSA bars, no year or what car or any thing.

so i was wondering if it were meant for an earlier than '79 car would they still fit?

if not would they still be worth buying and re-selling?

I was wondering the same thing. I once measured the distance from the eye to eye on the front sway bars of an S130 and S30.
they were the same. I am not sure if the bar's bends are the same.
$220 new probably means you can get $100 at the most used. That's not a lot of money to be made. Get pictures and see if they look like the same curves.

when you buy a new sway bar kit, is the finish such that it can be sanded down and painted with a good paint? wheel paint maybe? or caliper paint?

^^^ Yep. Unless it's powdercoated... then you wouldn't want to paint it.

I doubt it.
I have some of those MSA bars and they're rusty bare metal.
I'm going to paint them bright neon green.

If it's bright enough you won't even need an underglow kit!
