A Dead Z

So after a long trial and error, i found the problem to late. Running it to work and back on the first 5 and #6 being a dead cylinder, the damage took it toll. Blew the headgasket, fried the rings in #6, and during tear down, two head bolts snaped there tips off in the block. So as it sits, the Z is lifted on 4 jackstands where it will sit for about 5 months. no more Z for me.

No such thing as a dead Z. Only a Z waiting to be revived.

BELIEVE IN YOURSELF!

My parents (mostly my dad) have been bullshitting me about how my Z will never run again, but I think they have underestimated the power of forums. Every time I get on and stumble across some of your guyses pictures of your Zs, it makes me miss driving her so much.

I have a 280zx turbo headgasket and headbolt set (minus one >.<) I wont be using. My L28 build has come to a halt and I don't currently need these.

How deep are the headbolt tips? Get them removed yo! I don't suspect them being THAT deep, an inch at most O.o

Lemmy know if you plan to rebuild your L28, I see plans for mine in an S30 someday <.<

If you arent, I'd like to get parts off you in the future if you don't plan on keeping them.

Do you also have a transmission that you now no longer need...?

Because I'd buy it.

In like a week and a half.

Cuz the guy named Sam that was gonna sell me his 5spd, that may have been a freakin' Borg Warner T5, is MIA and won't reply to texts or Voicemails.

I'm gonna call him with Kristina's phone tomorrow, to see if its just me he's ignoring.

as of now, the future of the Z is unknown. I have these DCOE's that i really want to hear, so a rebuild might be the route. As for the 460, I might leave it in the truck body it's coming in and make a street truck of it. If i choose to go another route with the Z, my DCOE's along with the current engine parts will go up for sale. but thats months away. srry
