Looking to purchase a 280ZX what should I look for? What to avoid? Good Price range?

what you pay depends on where you live. Out in the northwest zx go pretty cheap. better yet look at a z31 turbo. they go cheap also out here. don't fall for the Anniversary Editions that people put badges on. A ZX in really good condition might go 5K i'm talking pristine. otherwise I wouldn't pay more than 2K for any of them. they aren't collector items yet and probably won't be for a while. get a turbo if you can otherwise the kids in the tuned acuras will smoke you everytime.

Rust - that's #1 IMHO. Everything else is fixable. Just generic old car advice - if you can find/store a parts car get one! My friend said to me "if you're gonna have an old car make sure you have two [of the same kind]" If you can find a turbo that's a major bonus as well. Lastly, make sure it never ran Amsoil and you'll be good! ;P
