Autometer D-Pic

it measures rear wheel horsepower, 0-60 times, 1/4 mile track times, 60-0 brake distance, etc. has anyone tried this on their Z?

if you need to get a 1/4 mile time just go to a damn drag strip, more then half of everything those little devices do, you can do at a drag strip for $50

this i know, just wondering if anyone forked out the dough for one. it looks expensive but at the price of a few dyno runs, kinda pays for itself. i'm just not sure how reliable these are. any thoughts?

Got a link or pic? I assume this does the same thing as a G-Tech?

If it is, then although Hoov is right, but I prefer to have something I can use to measure the change from mod to mod.

If installed properly, they can be very accurate. If only slightly mis-calibrated, they can be WAY wrong...

There's a vid floating around on Streetfire of a guy testing a G-Tech in his Mustang Cobra, then on the dyno & 1/4mi track. It was fairly accurate, but like L-Dub said, it's gotta be set up correctly.

What a coincidence, I was considering/researching the D-pic also. The nice thing about it is that it's a 2 1/16" gauge, so it'd be nicely integrated instead of stuck on the windshield. However, most of the features (ie reaction time, 1/4 mile time, horsepower calculation, etc.) require you to have an open stretch of empty road to accelerate on. And I know realistically I'm not going to search out an empty road just to do that stuff, plus risk getting busted or getting into an accident. So the only feature I guess I'd be interested in of that is the g-meters. It's too bad though that you can only view one axis at a time (forward-back or right-left, but not both at the same time)
