autometer gauge swap

Does anyone know if the proper gauges to use are the electronic or mechanical? I want to swap the 3 dash gauges for the autometer ones (oil pressure, water temp, fuel) or some other cool combo if I can find one.

Wow, extremely impressive set-up. Nice work - job well done! Thanks for the heads up on the gauges. By the way - love the color on the Z (mine is nearly identical....)

I think you have to go with mecanicals if you have the originel engine.I just bought a set,Mine are all electrical. This are going on my LS2 engine.
The correct size is 2 5/8's and 5'' for the speedo and tach.
Make sure you get the 73 ohms empty-8/12 ohms full autolite fuel pressure. This is for the stock fuel tank,I'm keeping my stock fuel tank.
