I am green when it comes to this topic, so bear with me.I searched under gas pedal adjustment but had not luck.My gas pedal has only about a 2-3 inch travel from starting point to the firewall. When my pedal is pressed all the way, I still have more pedal play under the hood (like if i was revving it up under the hood, which may be the throttle linkage.) My repair manual says like 5 inches of pedal. Shouldn't I have more pedal play and how do i adjust the pedal to get the pedal more off the floor? or where do I adjust it? The only other thing i know to do is cut the carpet out from under the pedal (HA HA).

i can tell u one of two things, first off take off the drivers side panel.. take off the black air duck.. u will have to get onto your back and look for your gas petal at the very top of your gas petal there will be a small screw 8mm i do belive.. u will have to " retard it " loosen it to give u what u are looken for...
