To my knowledge EGR should not affect it.

I agree to check the CHTS, if you don't know what that is look up the FSM and find it in there (Cylinder Head Temperature Sensor - should be on the passenger side of the block under the 5th and 6th spark plug I think).

Does the car not start again until it's cooled down? A bad Ignition Control Module can cause issues that are similar.

if the diaphragm is blown on the egr it will affect the engine. loosen the two bolts and slip a piece of tin can in there then tighten things down.

Also now that I am rethinking this you want to be checking all of the major sensors (AFM etc). More info would be really great.

Are you saying it won't run at all once it warms up, or it just won't idle. How does it drive once warm if it does drive?

It just wont idle after warmed up and you drive around the block. It will restart but when stoping to turn a corner or just stopping when back at garage it will die..

Wonder if the air regulator on top of the motor could be failing after warm up? Not sure of what all it does when..

Air regulator, AFM, CHTS, and/or ignitor as everyone has previously mentioned. Also the AAC valve (aids the turbo model idle).

Check them... do it... do it...

If you haven't done so yet, I highly suggest downloading the FSM for free from www.xenons130.com/reference

One of the best things you can do right now. Is pull the connectors, and with a toothbrush and WD-40 clean all the connectors, let them air dry and put them back on. And see if that helps if not. then just use process of elimination. It is fun trust me, been there done that. lol But do what Nismo said, and download the FSM. Quite handy in a pinch, good luck.

Was the "do it... do it...." in an Arnold Schwarzenegger accent?

ZX-Turbo idles and then dies

You said your fuel pressure is about 50..... what did you measure it with? S-30 and S-130 z car fuel pressure is only approx 37.1, so if you really have 50 it's out of spec and you should be balling smoke out of your exhaust. 50 is definitely out of specs.
