Going to look at a '83 NA 280zx this weekend, any tips for checking it out? Rust problems, engine ticking/tapping, etc.

Are they hard to get parts for? I don't think it has it's original alloys. Also going to look at some 300zx's if that makes more sense.

Looking for another toy to tinker with, have a rx-7, have had a couple of 240z's a long time ago.

All ways check for rust, and underneath, for damage. Listen to the motor, it should not click or clack. Other than that just basic stuff, like it drives and all gears work and nothing falls off the car when you drive
