yeah... I think most of us here could put together a SC L28 for a lot less than 4500 bones.

Yeah, that's the original sales ad Sandy put up a long time ago.

She's not very web savvy, as evidenced by their 'online' catalogue.

And the car would be a lot more expensive now than what it's advertised for there even though I got it for a substantial discount as a family acquaintance.

The reason their stuff is so expensive is because it's all engineered... by automotive engineers...

Now, some on this board ARE actually automotive engineers and could achieve the same results, although most of us are just automotive enthusiasts that would blow a few motors before we got it right.

Obviously, some of the really hard core 'enthusiasts' have the skill and knowledge to do it right too, but they're too lazy to put it all into one bolt on kit and too cheap to front the money to have the parts manufactured and kept 'in-stock' until someone wants to pay for it.

This is why JWT, Stillen, JCR and other 'suppliers' are still in business.

P.S.
Don't tell anyone, but MSA re-sells a lot of JCR stuff... shhh

I remember talking to that "engineer" on the S/C kit. honestly.. why would you go through the trouble of making a whole NEW manifold, with carbs, and a blower?? Centrifrugal S/C is a million $ cheaper..

Wow! That's like having your car painted by automotive painters... Who woulda thunk it?
