1982 280zx
i have a 1982 280zx that has manual AC, the car has a leaking heater Control Valve I found out the part I need is a 27116-p7100. This is unavailable and am wondering if the 27116-P6500 will work, are there any modifications that I will need to do to it and will my ac continue to work after this is installed

Yes, technically you can use the P6500. The difference is the P7100 has a thermostatic coil that goes into the heater box. To R&R yours, cut the coil tubes, leave it bolted to the back of the box, and swap water valves. See this previous discussion: https://www.zdriver.com/forums/280zx...-anyone-29433/
