I need some help, I am helping a friend diagnose a cold start issue on his Z. The car will not start easy, crank and crank. When it does start it runs rough and blows black smoke and goes through fuel like crazy. I have tried the basics. Not familiar with Nissan cold start system. Does any one have some suggestions as to why the car will not start cold, and why it is running extremely rich. One clue I'm told is that when the fuel return line is pinched the car starts. I know that pinching the return line increases fuel pressure but cant understand why it is consuming so much fuel. I'm thinking leaking injector or some issue like that. Any help would be appreciated thanks.
