testing the CAS

I have an 82 zxt (e->et swap, originally zx/na) And i need to learn specifically how to trouble shoot/test my CAS. My CAS is internal to the dizzy. The reason being is that i still can't get the coil to throw its spark. I have everything to start her up except spark at the moment. Im no good with a multimeter but i do have one. Would really appreciate the help. THanks guys

Is the coil & coil bracket grounded (REALLY grounded)? The coil won't throw spark if it isn't.

also, are the injectors getting a signal? if so but your not getting spark then your CAS is working, you just got a spark problem.

it has been some time since i have been out there. I put my noid light on it a while back when i discovered the spark issue and cant remember if they had a signal or not. Ill check during xmas and get back about it. I guess if they have signal, my next options are ignitor, coil, and the transistor right?
My haynes tells how to check all of these things but i can't read a wiring diagram to save my life (give me literally 5 hrs and i still cant read it) so how do i tell which wires on ex: CAS are the - and + when looking at the diagram?
