Hey fella's I am installing after market stereo in my 83 zx. Could not get power entenna to operate. I switched harnesses once it worked for moment. when i supply auxilliary power to the harness it will work . it seam as if there is no juice. where does the switch get its power from?

Take the schematic from the FSM down to kinkos and have them blow it up to 11x17. Much easier to read unless you are a keen eyed twenty something. What I remember is that the blue wire is used for antenna on modern radios. hooked that up to what was the power lead originally. worked fine. that year there was a half mast switch on the radio ie antenna only went up halfway unless you threw the switch to full position. This might be what is confusing the issue for you. study the schematic or call Crutchfield and get some advice.
